We all know that children secretly dream of meeting Santa Claus. That was exactly our Christmas initiative for 2023: to bring lots of smiles and happy moments to the children of Bankya.
The whole adventure began with the children writing letters to Santa with the presents they wished for, and describing how well behaved they had been during the year. Santa received their letters and handed the wish list to his hard-working elves, who set to work so that every wish could come true.
And so the long-awaited day for all the little ones arrived: 25 December, the day Santa would visit them. Santa gathered the presents for all the well-behaved children and, together with his reindeer sleigh, set off through the streets of Bankya to meet them. Since we live in the digital age, we added something handy for the parents: through location sharing they could see in real time exactly where the white-bearded old man was and how soon he would reach their home.
The day began and Santa appeared in the pretty streets of Bankya, ready to hand out plenty of presents to the town's youngest residents. He had planned a route in advance and followed it perfectly. At every door a child was waiting, eyes full of joy at seeing their beloved Santa. They told him stories about how good they had been that year, and promised to keep it up next year too. With their parents' help they had also baked special Christmas cookies to share with the white-bearded old man and his tireless elves.
The joy in all those children's eyes was a reward for our souls. This initiative started this year, but it will certainly continue, because there is nothing better than making children happy: pure souls who believe only in the good.
The impact was felt not only by the main participants, the children, but also by their parents, who thanked us and said that this initiative made them look at the world with different eyes and believe more in the good in people, values they can pass on to their own children.
In conclusion, based on the information Santa gave us, we managed to bring joy to more than 170 children of different ages, which makes us very happy and proud of the result. For the future, we hope the list of little ones keeps growing.
